He said, 'My Lord! Give me some instruction.' (The Lord) said, 'The instruction for you is that you shall not speak to the people for three days (and nights) except by gestures, and remember your Lord a good deal and glorify (Him) in the evening and early (in the) morning.'

God wants you to know

In this verse from Surah Al Imran, verse 41, Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him) seeks guidance from God. He asks, "My Lord! Give me some instruction," hoping for a sign or direction from the Almighty. In response, God grants him a unique instruction. God wants you to know that sometimes silence is a form of communication and reflection.

God tells Zakariya (peace be upon him) that he will not be able to speak to people for three days and nights, except through gestures. This period of silence is a divine command, intended to help him reflect deeply and connect with his Lord. It shows that sometimes, words are not necessary to express devotion and gratitude. Silence, too, can be a way of worship.

During this time of silence, Zakariya (peace be upon him) is instructed to remember and glorify God. He is encouraged to do this both in the evening and early in the morning. God wants you to know that remembering Him throughout the day strengthens your faith and keeps you connected to His guidance and mercy.

This verse teaches that in moments of silence and reflection, one can grow closer to God. It is a reminder to glorify God in every part of the day, whether through words, actions, or even through moments of quiet devotion.

Verse no 42

Wa iz qaalatil malaaa ikatu yaa Ya Maryamu innal laahas tafaaki wa tahharaki wastafaaki alaa nisaaa il `aalameen

(Recall the time) when the angels said, 'O Mary! Surely Allah has chosen you and has rid you of all impurities and has preferred you to the women of all (contemporary) people.

The verse from Surah Al Imran, 42nd verse, tells the story of Mary (Maryam), when angels were sent by Allah to deliver a special message. In this message, the angels told her that Allah had chosen her above all other women. God wants you to know that Mary was not only chosen but was purified from all impurities, making her unique and honored in the eyes of Allah.

In simple words, this means that Mary was given a high status because of her pure character and dedication to God. Allah had selected her from among the women of her time for a great responsibility. This honor was a sign of her goodness, piety, and spiritual purity.

God wants you to know that this selection wasn't just a random act. Mary had been prepared and purified by Allah, making her the perfect vessel for carrying out His will. Her selection is a reminder that purity, faith, and dedication to God are rewarded in ways that are beyond human understanding.

In this verse, we are reminded of the importance of purity and faith in our own lives. Just like Mary, we should strive to live in a way that pleases God, trusting in His plan for us. Through the story of Mary, God wants you to know that He is always aware of our actions and that He values those who live with sincerity and devotion.

Verse no 43

Yaa Maryamuq nutee li Rabbiki wasjudee warka ee ma ar raaki een

'O Mary! Be devout to your Lord and prostrate yourself and bow along with the congregation of the worshippers of God.'

In the 43rd verse of Surah Al Imran from the Qur'an, God speaks directly to Mary (Maryam), encouraging her to stay devoted to her Lord. This verse is a reminder of the importance of maintaining a deep connection with God through acts of worship and devotion. It teaches us that staying close to God requires consistent dedication and sincerity in our prayers.

The verse further instructs Mary to prostrate herself and bow in worship. Prostration is one of the highest forms of humility before God, showing complete submission to His will. It is a gesture of devotion, reminding believers that their lives should be guided by a deep sense of respect and surrender to God’s command.

God wants you to know that worship is not just a personal act but can also be performed in unity with others. The verse asks Mary to bow along with the congregation of worshippers. This highlights the collective aspect of worship, where believers come together to seek God’s guidance, support one another, and strengthen their faith.

Overall, this verse is a beautiful reminder of how important it is to remain devout, humble, and connected to God. By worshipping alone and with others, we maintain our relationship with the Almighty and reflect the values of humility, devotion, and unity in our daily lives.

Verse no 44

Zaalika min ambaaa il ghaibi nooheehi ilaik; wa maa kunta ladaihim iz yulqoona aqlaamahum ayyuhum yakfulu Maryama wa maa kunta ladaihim iz yakhtasimoon

These are some of the important accounts of the things unseen We have revealed to you. You were not present with them when they (-the priests) cast their quills (to decide) as to which of them should have Mary in his charge (to arrange her marriage); and you were not with them when they (- the exalted assembly of the angels) were engaged in a discussion (over the issue of Muhammad being entrusted with the Divine mission).

The verse 44 of Surah Al Imran tells us about events that are beyond human understanding, which have been revealed by God. These events relate to the unseen, things we could never know without divine guidance. "God wants you to know" these important details, showing that only through His revelation can such knowledge be gained.

It refers to a time when certain priests, guided by divine wisdom, cast their quills to decide who should take responsibility for Mary. This responsibility included important matters like her marriage. God reminds us that the Prophet Muhammad was not present during this event, but still, this knowledge has been given to him as a part of divine revelation.

The verse also highlights a debate among the exalted assembly of angels about the mission of Prophet Muhammad. God entrusted him with delivering the divine message, a task so important that even the angels discussed it. Again, this is knowledge that would not be known if God had not chosen to reveal it.

This verse serves as a reminder of the unseen realities and divine wisdom that guide human lives. It shows that the knowledge of such events is a special gift from God, who reveals what He wills to those He chooses.

Verse no 45

Iz qaalatil malaaa ikatu yaa Maryamu innal laaha yubashshiruki

bi Kalimatim minhus muhul Maseehu Eesab nu Maryama wajeehan fid dunyaa wal Aakhirati wa minal muqarrabeen

(Recall the time) when the angels said, 'O Mary! Allah gives you good tidings through a (prophetic) word from Him (about the birth of a son) whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, (he shall be) worthy of regard in this world and in the Hereafter and one of the nearest ones (to Him),

God wants you to know about the special moment when the angels spoke to Mary. They gave her good news, telling her that Allah had chosen her for something extraordinary. She was to have a son, and his name would be the Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary. This message was not just a regular announcement, but a divine prophecy from Allah, showing how blessed and honored Mary was in the eyes of God.

The angels told Mary that her son, Jesus, would be highly respected both in this world and in the Hereafter. He would be someone who people look up to, not only during his life on earth but also in the life after death. His name would carry a deep significance, reminding people of his important role as a messenger and a servant of God.

God wants you to know that Jesus, as the son of Mary, would hold a special place among those closest to Allah. His life and teachings would guide people towards righteousness and faith in the One True God. He was chosen to lead people on the path of truth, bringing light and guidance through the word of Allah.

This verse emphasizes the greatness of both Mary and Jesus in the Islamic tradition. It highlights how God’s plans are beyond human understanding, and how He sends special people like Jesus to guide humanity. This moment of divine communication with Mary was meant to be a sign of hope and a reminder of God’s mercy and wisdom.
